The Grotius building has been handed over on the Radboud University campus in Nijmegen, with the Faculty of Law being its main user. In the eco-friendly building (26,000m2), there are a variety of teaching and study rooms, a library, a restaurant with an outdoor terrace and a lecture theatre with 500 seats, making it the largest lecture theatre at the university.
AT Osborne assisted the University Real Estate Company (UVB) in various phases of this project. Kees Rezelman, project manager at AT Osborne, was closely involved in the University’s campus developments.
The requirements catalogue was drawn up in close collaboration with the future users of and stakeholders at UVB. In addition, the European call for tenders was organised by the design team. Cost management was also provided by AT Osborne experts. The building is based on the Campus Law school concept.
The Faculty of Law took ownership of the Grotius building on 7 July 2014, and it was officially opened on 28 August 2014.
