At the end of 2013, the Meander Medical Centre moved to its new site on Maatweg in Amersfoort, replacing its premises in Amersfoort Lichtenberg and Amersfoort Elisabeth. The new Meander Medical Centre is a top-class hospital in every respect.
A splendid modern hospital is being erected at the new location. A light and open building with a friendly and professional atmosphere, the layout is well thought out: everyone can easily reach their destination and visitors and patients are not disrupted by the activities behind the scenes.
Creating an achievable plan together
We at AT Osborne were asked in 2010 to finish off the negotiations with the contractor, which had run aground. Our consultants carried out an analysis of the design, drew up estimated building costs and made some proposals to improve the plan, while retaining a good logistical layout. They held a number of workshops with the principal, architect, designers and builders to set out an achievable plan together. We drew up the contracts with the parties doing the work, and provided a project manager for the construction work to supervise the new-build on the principal’s behalf. We also took care of the project management for the building systems and medical equipment.
